Personal Interests

Cathy loves to spend time with her family, and her grandchildren (all 3 years and under) keep her running and on the go!  Playing bridge and cooking are hobbies she enjoys, and she is always up for a wine tasting event, a cooking class, or just relaxing with a good book.

Community Involvement

If you are new to the Omaha area, call Cathy!  She can direct you to opportunities in the city for community events, activities, volunteer needs and more!  Have kids???  She can help with that too!  The newest addition to her team, Jenny Hamlin, has her finger on the pulse of almost everything related to kids!!

Cathy started her college education at Indiana University and graduated from College of St. Mary, in Omaha.  She worked at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for one year and then moved back to Omaha and worked at Immanuel Medical Center.  When she started her family she chose to be a "stay at home mom" for many years and started her new career when her children were in middle school.

Professional Interests

Cathy has always believed that you cannot walk through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands and practices that in her personal life.  She is an active volunteer in her professional industry and has volunteered in the community at large, including March of Dimes, the Omaha Symphony, Junior League of Omaha, Opera Omaha and the Monroe Meyer Guild, to name a few. Continuing education is extremely important to her and she stays current on license law and shifting trends in the real estate market.  She is trained in destination services and marketing in relocation and is coached by the Mike Ferry Organization.

Personal Background

Cathy has been married since 1975 to her husband, Dennis.  They have 3 adult children who have blessed them with 4 grandchildren. Brewster and Lucy, the "Blackman" dogs also keep them busy!  Born in Munich, Germany and raised in Chicago, Cathy is always amazed that she ended up in Omaha.  This city has been her home since 1971 and she is so excited to have watched the growth and transition this "diamond in the rough" city offers.  She and Dennis love to spend quiet time at their family lake home in Northern Wisconsin, as time permits, and it goes without saying how blessed they are to have all of the family located in Omaha.  Does Cathy have a "vice"?  Yes....she LOVES to play bridge!
