OMAHA Growth Compared to Last Year

From July 2014 to August 2015 there were a total of 5000 homes sold in the Omaha Metro Area, with the total amount being sold of $1,299,132,665. The average home sold for $259.827, and sat on the market for an average of 45 days to sell. Now if we look at July of 2015 until Present in The Omaha Metro Area there were still around 5000 houses sold, but this time the total amount sold was $1,395,387,209. A dramatic increase over the last year of $96,254,544. The average house sold for $276,077 ahead of the year before average of $259,827 by over $16,000 dollars. The houses this year are only sitting on average for 31 days compared to 45 days last year. It’s safe to say the market is off to a great start this year compared to last year here in Omaha. If you are thinking about selling your home this would be a great time to do so.

Other surrounding markets are performing similarly to Omaha. Elkhorn’s Average home price went from $311,800 this time last year to $318,850 currently. So Elkhorn is another hot market. Ralston is another great market right now. Last year from July 2014 to August 2014 87 houses sold for a total volume of $11,082,518. With the average home selling for $127,385. It took the average home 32 sitting on the market to sell. From July of last year until now 72 houses have sold so far for a total volume of $9,904,940. With the average home selling for $137,569 while only sitting on the market for 19 days. That’s an over $10,000 increase in house prices in a year. Like I said before if you are thinking about selling now is a great time.
