Foreclosures Decreasing in Omaha and Metro Area

According to the Omaha Area Board of Realtors active foreclosures in the Omaha metro area have dropped from 340 Last January to 200 as of todays date Jan 31, 2012.  This means that neighborhood prices will increase this year and now is a great time to sell your house if you are thinking of selling.   There are 3600 homes on the market and only 5.5% of them are foreclosures.  This is a very healthy supply of homes.  Actually inventory is low in comparison to 4600 homes the year before.  So this is a great start to the 2013 selling year.  If you have a great home that needs sold price it at market and sell it.  We will see higher prices this spring then in the previous 5 years.
